“They Dealt To Kreskin - Again”

Written by John Romero

“The Night They Dealt to Kreskin ….”

“Twenty - three straight against an eight - deck shoe, as we all know is not only improbable and preposterous, but impossible.”

“I saw him do a card trick on a network television show the other day and it reminded me of the way Bob Cousy used to fire those behind-the-back passes to Bill Russell. Kreskin did the trick behind his back.”

“Of course, there are those who say that Kreskin doesn’t do “tricks”, and you can count me in that number. I’ve seen him reach into too many minds and pull out an answer….”

“The airlines just gave him a 3-million-mile plaque; With the frequent flier miles he’s piled up, he might already own United.”

—–John Romero is a casino marketing consultant specializing in database building, dorect mail and direct-response advertising——-

It is in Aruba, Kreskin’s closing night, and due to fly home within about 10 hours, Kreskin decided to pay black jack. He sat down with $37.00. The casino was kept open instead of closing at 1:00 a.m. For the $37.00 on his table had built up and there were some piles of $100 chips. When he left at 3:00 p.m., he rushed to his hotel to pack and fly back to the United States. He was carrying with him his winnings. From the $37 he ran it up to $22,400 and some dollars.

Regarding the movie 21, while it is based on the best selling book, it is not the same story but the winning themes in the movie did take place. The reason for the movie’s success in spite of luke warm reviews, is so many of all ages, including college age, are now interested in poker and other card games.

Every gambler or potential gambler must bear in mind that as Kreskin has said many times, “Casino’s were not built by winners”. While the movie shows young college people, tracking and counting cards, the problem anyone will have in following in their foot steps, is that while counting cards in not illegal, it can only be a serious problem if the player is winning.

As we plunge into a deeper recession in the months to come, casino’s, even though they are run by corporations, may be forced to give a little more back to the players, but don bank on it.

Psychics
Kreskin is my wingman
The “Amazing” mind reader applies his mentalism to the singles’ scene. Can he help this writer get a date?

On Valentine’s Day, I canceled my OkCupid date (sorry, fr33zyfr33ky) to hang out at dance club Columbus 72 with the Amazing Kreskin, the 73-year-old mentalist and self-made millionaire who you’ve undoubtedly seen on late-night TV. Kreskin has been making prophecies for more than 50 years. He predicted both the 9/11 tragedy and the Giants winning Super Bowl XLII by three points. Basically, he’s crazy psychic. And what more could you want in a wingman?………….

Apparently not content with having bees do all the dirty work of sniffing out bombs, the Navy is now seeking proposals for methods of actually predicting where bombs will be placed. According to Wired’s Danger Room, the Office of Naval Research is looking for both “theoretical and technical approaches,” which would not only allow for the prediction of bomb placements, but give them the ability to identify and localize bomb makers, predict changing threat tactics, and track the components being used in bomb assembly, among other feats of prognostication. On the technical side of things, the Navy’s apparently has a keen interest in “advanced sensor networks,” which would automatically detect when a bomb has been placed, allowing them to neutralize ‘em with minimal human involvement. Those looking to get in on the action better act fast though, as proposals are due July 20th.

On Februrary 1, 2008 Kreskin went on Fox Business News: America’s Nightly ScoreBoard and predicted the super bowl. He put it in a chest, inside a box and locked it in the office of the station.

Then on Tuesday Februray 5, 2008 Keskin went back to the show and had the host David Asman open the box with a knife and key.

Inside was the prediction which consisted of the statements:

Kreskin predicted that the Giants would win

That the Giants would win by 3 (Final Score 17-14)

Kreskin further stated that if he failed in his prediction he
would turn over $10,000 of his own money to charity.
