Mika Brzezinski – MSNBC News Anchor Woman

Posted by admin On July - 29 - 2007

“One of the wonderful moments in news last week is the “refusal” of Mika Brzezinski to read as a lead story, a piece about Paris Hilton. What I got a kick out of was, her attempting to burn the news release and then finally, her wise choice of just shredding it on camera and insisting on going onto a more meaningful story such as Iraq, etc.

The late Johnny Carson and Steve Allen would have relished this moment and referred to it on their Tonight’ shows the very day this happened. But let’s give her credit for while I still hold with a prediction I made about Paris Hilton, her reaction is a genuinely responsible one for any news person has to realize that the tabloid degree that our television, radio and newspaper reporting has dropped into; has lowered the level and quality of news in the United States. The question is: could it deteriorate even further? And my answer is very simple – yes it could, it will and it will be much, much less lower in quality.

I still abide by a prediction that I made a few years ago, and I still stand by it, namely that Paris Hilton will not win an academy award in the next 72 years!”

All The Wrong Reasons

Posted by admin On July - 24 - 2007

Yours Truly had the absolute delight of attending a one man performance of comedian, John Fugelsang at the Barrow Street Theatre in New York City, July 22, 2007.

The title of his presentation was “ALL THE WRONG REASONS” the man has appeared over twenty times on the TV series, Politically Incorrect as well as in numerous other TV shows. His stand up performance is absolutely brilliant.

He walks out without special props, without any equipment on the night I saw him, no special sound or lighting of any consequence and yet at the end of almost an hour and a half, his audience stands amass to a tremendous expression of enthusiasm. Read the rest of this entry »

Appearance on the Joey Reynolds Show

Posted by admin On July - 4 - 2007

On a recent Joey Reynolds Show heard nationally over WOR Radio, Kreskin was asked to discuss with its’ author, a new book, titled “Are We Rome?” It is written by Cullen Murphy.

With the celebration of our 4th of July each year, Kreskin listens to the moving music out of Washington, D.C. and wonders if others have stopped to reflect the incredible price that freedom costs.

The book, Are We Rome? is intriguing in that once again, it parallels the similarities of the last decades of ancient Rome with present America. Kreskin reminded the author that in the last years of ancient Rome, the politicians were so corrupt that they were “buying” votes. Whatever they could give away or promise, they would.

Entertainment became so accessible and was made so free that an ominous condition of society was developing. The public was becoming jaded. And what could be done to stimulate the public as boredom and laziness pursued? Ahh – they found the answer in the coliseums, they made entertainment more violent.

But then again has anyone really learned from history? The answer is yes. We’ve learned that we never learn from history…
