MAY 23, 2010 – What’s on My Mind: Movie Prices

Posted by admin On May - 23 - 2010

I cannot help but empathize with the North American public’s plight grappling with another price raise. In this case, not oil or fresh foods or the inevitable new taxes, but the dramatic increase of movie box office charges. Can we blame the movie chains, since it’s clear they’re capitalizing on the consumer’s willingness to dig deeper and deeper into their pockets, the clue being given by 3D. Now that movie prices in the spirit of the financial climate are going to be socking it to the public, with admissions as high as $20, and the extraordinary generosity of modern, sophisticated parents of paying for such, the bottom line is that the mental manipulation of the U.S. public is dramatically showcased by our current day politicians and now even weekly movie prices….that philosophy being:

“RAPE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC NO MATTER WHAT THEIR AGE.”

Colin Hanks in The Good Guys

Posted by admin On May - 23 - 2010

The actor who played my road manager in The Great Buck Howard, Colin Hanks, has signed up to star in a new TV series, The Good Guys, on FOX. I suppose I should have foreseen that was going to happen… but I can predict it will be a great success.

US Attorney General Eric Holder…

Posted by admin On May - 17 - 2010

I predict that US Attorney General Eric Holder will step down from his position before Obama reaches a second term, if indeed he is re-elected to office. I reaffirm what I predicted right after his Presidential election, namely that if he fails to win or for that matter run for a second term, it will be because of one of two women.

The 21st annual Dusty Film and Animation Festival and Awards highlights over 100 films by students graduating from the BFA Film, Video and Animation Department at the School of Visual Arts (SVA). The program includes screenings of short films, videos and animations; and an awards ceremony and gala with notable presenters from the film industry.

Regarding Elena Kagan’s nomination to United States Supreme Court by President Obama:

Already there are some suggesting borrowing my abilities, to wit Esquire, The Political Blog: Really, Mr. President? Elena Kagan?….

This latter issue, which is almost wholly absent from the national dialogue — “Hey, we have two major parties and one of them is deranged!” — certainly will not arise at her confirmation hearings.
Call me Kreskin“.

I can sense that many Americans are concerned that this is the beginning of a domino effect after which could follow France and England and within three years the USA

Love Linda

Songstress/playwright Stevie Holland walked on stage and regaled an audience with a one woman show in which she played Mrs. Cole Porter.

Stevie Holland, what is this power you have…the power to hypnotize me? I sat mesmerized by your presentation and within minutes forgot that you were anyone other than Mrs. Cole Porter, which made the music coming from such a beautiful voice so eloquent and the true story so absolutely moving. You captivated an entire audience.

I predict increasing, growing success with your voyage of bringing Mrs. Cole Porter to life, for in doing so you are giving us a performance that embodies beautiful music in a remarkable story of love and romance between two fascinating figures. One leaves your performance a broader definition of what love can really mean.

ESPecially,

Kreskin
