It was at the Count Basie Theatre here in Red Bank, NJ.  A packed audience was enthralled with Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show. To see remarkable impersonations of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin along with Sandy Hackett playing Joey Bishop awakened so many precious memories of these show business giants in the audience including Yours Truly. And then to have Lisa Dawn Miller appear out of the darkness as Sinatra’s potential lover singing a song of love was a remarkable piece of melodrama.

Yours Truly was particularly over taken by Sandy Hackett’s impersonation of Joey Bishop. He was a man whom I came to know during the years of his nighttime television series to the point that he made me a frequent recurring guest on his show.

Believe me when I say this… You will find Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show an “unforgettable experience.”

Last night May 1^st Yours Truly saw at St.Lukes Theater in NYC an Off Broadway Tour De Force by the brilliant comedian Dave Konig. I have to tell you I was swept off my feet because Konig is not only refreshingly funny but he is a real raconteur. His comedy show “Addicted to Show Business” is an intriguing trip of reflections and stories through his life with both tragic and comedic content.  Anyone like Yours Truly who has made show business it their livelihood will be surprising enthralled by the comedic tragedy of a performer’s life. Anyone who has ever aspired to be in the business and that includes practically every civilized person will find this show most revealing and an absolute delight.  I had a ball!

Kreskin is quick to sing the praises of several late-night greats, including  Carson,Jack Paar, Joey Bishop and David Letterman, though he  says comparing Fallon to those guys is trickier that it may seem.

“There will be others standing in the wings, but Fallon, like Carson, will  figure out how to bring [rivals] into the fold and not see them as enemies,” he  predicts.
